FAQ

Q: Are your books on Amazon?

A: We appreciate the convenience of Amazon as a one-stop shopping destination. However, to provide their bargain pricing and free shipping, Amazon pays publishers a very low wholesale price. This leaves little room for small publishers to make a profit.

Instead, we sell directly to consumers. This also allows us to pay our authors substantially more than they typically make when books are sold by large retailers like Amazon.

Q: Who is the publisher?
A: We are! We have a very long background in book publishing. Also, we print our books on the same top quality offset printing presses that large publishing houses use.

Q: Why is international shipping so expensive?

A: Shipping carriers like UPS, DHL, and FedEx charge very high rates for international shipments from the US. Our shipping charges reflect exactly what it costs us to ship the items. Our International Shipping Costs page explains the issue in detail and suggests ways to save money.

Q: Are your books available as eBook?

A: Ebooks are wonderful, but they create unusual challenges for publishers. We know there is demand for them, and we frequently evaluate all our books to determine if an eBook makes sense going forward.

We do have a Kindle eBook which is a substantial preview of Minimalist Tiki, with several key chapters from the book and over 30 recipes.

Q: How long will it take to get my book?

A: We try to ship all orders within a day or two of receiving them. However, there sometimes occasions when we are away for a few days. As soon as your book is ready to ship, you will receive an email with the tracking information.
